Yeah, the show is too ambitious. Plus, you need to watch like 20+ years of the BBC shows that never really aired in America save a non-network station or two back in the 90s (and occasional Sci-Fi airings) to get this new incarnation. That's just too much for me.

You don't need to have watched the old series. They explain everything you need to know in the new series.

Because it's BBC, which is effectively public television. The effects in the new series aren't that bad, although there's always an episode or 2 per season where you can tell they had to save some cash.

cylons were no biological in nature when they were created. over time they advanced into a biological hybrid yes. But Daleks have always been this biological creature fathered by Davros. And as TVC said Daleks have been around a lot longer than cylons.

Uh, the show. They've shown toasters as early as Season 2 being show and blood spews out. The toaster ships, as well, also have biological insides. It's always been the case.

man i love that movie but i see the influences that lucas had and now i think of him as a loser. Also i love that art deco style, cant wait for Bioshock my two favorite things together. Utopian societies, and art deco.

and willco i've never seen blood out of cylons. I know that the scar's were biological. But in the original mythos they were not biological. And i still dont think they were before they went into hiding.

Fear Her and The Idiot's Lantern are both kinda not so great. Everything else is. Opinions are split on Love and Monsters, but I like it. The Girl in the Fireplace is one of my favorite Doctyor Who stories ever. The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit is also one of the best bits of the new run. The finale is also really great.

It's a fantastic season.
