aven't you been paying attention? Nobody at NeoGAF would ever do such a thing. Nobody has modded Xboxes or PSPs, nobody has GBA or DS flashcarts, nobody rents DVDs and burns them, nobody borrows movies or music from friends, nobody downloads tv shows, nobody...

I'm not even sure of the laws on downloading tv shows, but I don't even watch tv the normal way anymore at all. I don't see how it's different from Tivo frankly. Except I can't get Tivo.

What's wrong with dling tv shows? We pay for satelite and we have network tv. If I miss something, why exactly should I wait a year or something for it to be replayed or put on dvd? Fuck that.

Because that's the way it works. I'm not going to bitch if I ever get busted for downloading movies and TV shows. Obviously the companies aren't receiving any money unless it's being broadcast on TV. Don't try to justify downloading TV shows. It's every bit illegal as downloading music. It might suck, but that's the way it is. Money runs the world.

Himuro: That kind of justification is stupid.  You pay for a service, that service includes watching it when it's aired.  IF you don't like the agreements of your service, by a Tivo or cut it off.  That logic is stupid.

From what I understand, it's easier to get away with pirating music than pirating movies/TV shows. That doesn't mean I don't have burned copies of DVDs, though, they're just not downloaded straight from the net.
