I haven't seen a enjoyable movie since Talledega Nights and that was just above average. There really isn't any upcoming movies I wanna see till Marie Antoinette in Oct.

I actually, despite my predisposition to hating all videogame movies, got some enjoyment out of Silent Hill. Is it a great or even very good movie? No. Do I have a slight bias in that Silent Hill 2 is one of my all-time favorites? Perhaps. But still, although there still hasnt been a great movie based on a game, I am forced to rate them in a relative sense. And relative to other videogame movies, Silent Hill is the best one made thusfar. I actually think some polishing of the dialogue, and a few actor replacements, could have made this a very good little flick. The visuals and atmosphere are all in place. So Gans succeeded there.

A solid 6/10.
