Chris and I invented an alcoholic drink called THE THRASHER

With input from the bartender, a female friend and outside drinkers, we created a brand new drink at the bar tonight we've dubbed The Thrasher!  And despite its origins, everyone seems to like it.  Personally, it's one of the best drinks I've had in awhile.  It took us a bit to perfect the formula, but we did it.  If you want one, the recipe is as follows:

Tequila
Malibu Coconut Rum
Red Bull
Grapefruit Juice
Pineapple Juice
Organe zest

At our bar, it's a $6 drink and after two, your average person will get thrashed.  It's a pretty awesome drink - even our bartender, who is not a fan of grapefruit at all, likes the drink.  And we got outsiders to order more than one, as well.  We think it's just about the best drink ever.

I actually had five in addition to two Irish coffees and a rum a coke - I'm pretty good.  Definitely buzzed.  Chris is sick, though.  He had been drinking Bloody Mary's this afternoon and I guess the two don't mix.  We had another local regular try it out and after two, he was getting THRASHED.

Hence the name.

sounds like pretty standard tropical flavoured rocket fuel.

Try this:

One Part Creme De Cassis (Blackcurrant liqueur)
One Part Peach liqueur
One Part Absolut Vanilla flavour Vodka
One Part Jagermeister

Shaken with ice then strained into a martini glass

But Willco, how much of each ingredient? I must try it!

Pour the tequila and Malibu coconut rum together, on the rocks, to a little over the halfway mark in the glass.  Add the Red Bull and leave about a half an inch from the brim.  Add the juice, but add a little bit more pineapple than grapefruit.  Splash in an orange zest if needed.

And Scenester, this is far from your average tropical jet fuel.  This combination is so sickly smooth its ridiculous.  And I'm not talking smooth for an alcoholic beverage - I mean smooth in general.  The combination of the Red Bull and pineapple really make it like a smooth soft drink, but the grapefruit and alcohol prevent it from being completely sweet.  It's awesome.

I usually just have a friend mix me a drink. Some may call this laziness, however I find it to be daring. The concoctions they come up with can be pretty rough but its quite fun to me. Maybe one day when I end up in the hospital from alcohol poisoning I'll reconsider making my own drinks.

Uh, you don't know anything.  I've had tropical rushes before and that's not the ingredient list.  You live in Fresno, so don't act like you live in some highly cultured part of the world that has alcoholic beverages not yet seen by our eyes.

Yea fuck that.. We made this shit up, last night!!! I had a Fifth of Vodka (bloody Mary) starting at four and then we went to the bar for a sneak peak at the scene And had another drink around 8pm. When We got there for the last visit of the night at about 10pm Will and I created the very BEST drink!! He says I had two or three in fact was four. and he had five with like two irish coffees and maybe something else.. I wanted to call it sex in the skate park at first but its nothing like that. One of our drinking buddies did come in and could only handle two of those as he was starting to slur and bounce around. Its a great drink if mad properly and is cheap.. I Love it and will only order that so I dont have to spend to much money to get drunk anymore!!!
