So I, er, uh... acquired an avi file that I'd like to watch and wmp is playing the audio but not the video.  I've never done this before.  Be gentle, but any help would be mucho appreciated.

Grab VLC ( http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ ) or use whatever codec pack the sluts are using these days.

If something is available on market, I pay for it.  The vast majority of the Doctor Who material I have is not available in the US, aside from the new eps, which I buy the DVD sets of upon release.  If something is available to purchase, I will purchase it.  If Doctor Who were on iTunes, I would have a subscription.
