Great. So let's replace the authors' DS fanboisms with Lyte Edge's PSP rah rah!
I wasn't ranting about the PSP. I was just returning the favor.

The OP is only talking about portables, so I was too.
Here's something you might consider: RHYTHM GAMING ISN'T MADE FOR PORTABLES. That much I could agree with. Not, "well if you REALLY want to play some good rhythm gaming, get yourself a PSP!"
I disagree. You can look at the success of games like Ouendan, DJ Max, and especially mutha effin' RHYTHM TENGOKU, which is on the GBA of all systems, and see that rhythm games work just fine. Konami even released Beatmania for the GBC and has released LCD portable versions of Beatmania and DDR.
I find the draw of Taiko No Tetsujin to be the arcade version's drum controls; never played a home version so I don't know how well the PS2 controllers are made, but taking those away for the PSP version made it seem kind of boring to me, so I never tried it. The DS at least has the touch screen for tapping, but with just one tiny stylus, that seems boring to me too. I'm digging the Mario stuff though.
DietRite seemed to miss that the author of that article was just talking about a franchise, previously exclusive to Sony systems, now being multi-platform...hence the Crash Bandicoot reference. No one said Nintendo was taking it over as an exclusive.

If only the article had worded it that way. You know, without some kind of bias. But I guess it's obvious from just looking at the URL.
I dunno, maybe that writer is one of your friends or something...why else would you post it from a fanboy site instead of the source it originally came from instead?
