Kurosawa made over thirty movies, that list is not nearly all-inclusive.

Get Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Sanjuro (sequel to Yojimbo), and Throne of Bood.

FTP means File Transfer Protocol. Its basically a direct line to a server (in this case...probably Himuros PC)

you need the sequel to yojimbo which is sanjuro

then hidden fortress purely for the "holy shit lucas ripped off every damn scene in this movie" insanity

and high & low cause its fuck awesome

The Bad Sleep Well is okay, but Kurosawa's period films reign supreme. And as far as Shakespeare adaptations go, Throne of Blood is better.

Throne of Blood is good, but imo lesser Kurosawa. Despite the infamous ending sequence, its actually quite dull. The Bad Sleep Well, in contrast, manages to keep one entertained throughout the runtime.

I have to disagree, I was entranced by Throne of Blood throughout. Brilliant moviemaking - it has all these Noh theater influences, which is why it's paced the way it is.

I didn't like Ran as much as his other movies. No Toshiro Mifune. I like Tatsuya Nakadai, but he's not as dynamic a screen presence as Mifune...

Its not a role Mifune would have excelled at, though... not really dynamic, and pretty much tailor-made for a more quiet, toned-down character actor.
