Anyone here teach TV on DVD ripping 101?
« on: April 29, 2007, 01:58:22 AM »
I just downloaded DVD Decrypter and I'm trying to rip episodes of The Simpsons off my DVD collection to put on my Zen Vision M.

Ripping actual DVD movies is nowhere near this difficult since usually there aren't like 7 .vob files per disk. I've noticed in trying this earlier that I always end up with the fucking audio commentary track too which pisses me off. I don't know how or which audio track to select.

I've ALSO noticed that each episode I rip ends and begins not at the true end of the episode. For example the first vob file of Season 1 Episode 1 of The Simpsons will end a couple minutes before the closing credits. Season 1 Episode 2 VOB file will begin where the previous .vob file left off. The only solution to this problem would be to rip the DVD as a whole great big .vob file but since there's a file size cap for how big a VOB can be that's impossible.

So... does anyone here teach TV on DVD Ripping 101 made easy?

Ripit4me + dvddecrypter + dvdshrink is what I've used for DVDs. Never ripped a TV show DVD though.

yeah i need help too. The episodes are split and arent on the same chapter or title. So for every episode there are two parts and I want it in divx mpeg4 so its smaller.
