Bloodrayne 2 teaser! Low-budget mayhem within!
« on: April 29, 2007, 04:45:17 AM »
Hey, ever wonder what another (officially a series now, beating out every movie you ever wanted a sequel to but never got) Bloodrayne movie would be like with 1/3rd the budget, no returning cast members except for the high wattage star power of Micheal Pare (in a different role then he had in the first 'film'), and set in the old west for some reason?

well, wonder no more.

a more polished, slightly less embarrassing trailer can be found here.

So now its a western, the bad guy is Billy the Kid, and the lower budget will probably require more gratuitous nudity and even less sensical dialog to fill in the gaps.  Can it be as mind-blowing as the original?  Only time will tell.

excited yet?  C'mon, its arguably the most anticipated direct-to-video sequel of 2007.

Uwe is directing, right?  If so, I get it on day 1.  No theatre run?

I knew White Man would be responding on this thread, I didn't think it would be within a friggin minute.

for my fellow trash cinema connoisseur, yes, Uwe is back in the saddle on this one.  Its his third completed film without a concrete-release.  Dungeon Siege is coming out this Summer, Seed (Uwe's 'original' horror film, a remake of Shocker without the ghost shit), Postal, and this are still is limbo.

He's shooting a Vietnam-action movie right now.  Unless Dungeon Siege takes off (har har), I'd say he's likely not ever getting another theatrical push ever again.

all his films have distribution deals for Germany though, so he's probably still working the system.  He has the best accountants who have ever lived working for him apparently.

I could swear I saw a Dungeon Siege DVD two-pack at a store here.  Did the movies get released outside the U.S.?

its been shown publicly at the American Film Market(hey you, buy my film, please), but so far has yet to have any commercial distribution, its set for an American and German release later this year.  Anything you saw for sale probably was a bootleg.

reviews from AFM weren't as toxic as one would expect.  He might have accidentally made something watchable.

Shit, I just realized I'm the Uwe Boll expert around here, I've even seen his Casper Van Deim flick "Sanctimony" (its like a distinguished mentally-challenged American Psycho).  I just find his career and films to be perversely fascinating.

Twice the action! Twice the blood! TWICE THE NIPPLE SUCKING!
