wireless net help

okay, got a question....

i'm downloading something off of bit torrent.  it's going like 80 kb/s   

and then i notice someone leeching off my wireless internet, so i disable my wireless internet, i'm still wired through to my router and i still have net access etc.

but, once i block that person from accessing, bittorrent starts slowing down.  it gets down to 10kb/s.

so i'm all like wtf?  and i think, maybe they're related, so i enable wireless again and it speeds back up

i have it disabled for my DS.  My DS won't connect to my router if I have any sort of protection enabled

a shame ds doesnt support wpa, wep is easily cracked witht the proper knowledge. still turn it on

but no, my DS won't connect with WEP even.  maybe i have a balls out assy router.

might as well use wpa and turn it off whenever you want to play ds online then if its not working with wep

Hey mupepe first get your shit protected, enable mac filtering, and if your real anal put a password protection in there. Also turn off SSID broadcasting. I have two routers, one is hooked up just for my DS the other is locked down. Also with torrents make sure you got it setup properly. Some trackers are really finacky and will fuck you with shitty connections.

I think it can only do 64 bit encryption too so mayve you hwve your router set to high?
