I bought Daxter for $13 on the PSP, but really want GUITAR HERO 2

So, I got Daxter for the PSP.  It's pretty awesome so far, probably the best portable platformer I've played in awhile.  The art direction is unbelievable.

But the past two days, I played Guitar Hero 2 on X360.  I never played the original or the sequel 'till about two days ago, and I'm hooked.  I don't think I've wanted to have a game so bad for a long time.  It's so great.

At the EBX at Westfield mall (Santana Row) i got to play with some of the Red Octane guys. They'd come in from time to time to play the game when the original came out. Awesome freaking mall. When Roxy worked at Sanrio it kicked ass just killing the day in that mall.

You should get the original on PS2 cause the songs in 2 werent as great

I wish GH2 had better songs. The list for GH1 is epic in comparison. Most of the songs I recognize in GH2 have a bad cover, the ones I dont recognize are still fun because the game as a whole is far more challenging than GH1 which only got challenging at a few songs.

Last year I played GH1 in Best Buy like every other day after school. Then they switched over to GH2. I don't like most of the music in that game.

It does have Crazy on You by Heart though. I like that song thanks to Harold and Kumar.

Crazy on You is another song with a horrible cover tho. Its just hard to reproduce those vocals. Their solution was keeping the volume down and making it sound like she's singing underwater.

ratchet is clumsy crap. daxter is rayman 2 revisited, and is godly. the collecting aspects are trivial; no worse than, say, rayman 2, the greatest 3d platformer ever.

they have to relicense everything cause the deals for the games did not include downloadable content. And since companies have been seeing the numbers GH is doing they are asking for more money cause they want more out of the big pie.

red octane guys were really nice though Will, your near them you should check them out one day. Just bribe them with coldstone.

I agree, Daxter is a superb game.  For a while, Daxter was the best portable game I ever played.  To an extent, I give the edge to Ratchet & Clank: SM, but Daxter feels better suited for PSP IMO.  I paid $32 for Daxter and it was definitely worth it.

The only song I haven't beaten on expert yet.  So fucking hard.  But it's also one of the most fun songs to play next to Psychobilly Freakout and Beast and the Harlot.
