Ridley Scott Directing Robin Hood movie staring Russell Crowe

This has been rumored for a while but it is now confirmed. Ridley Scott is directing his take on the Robin Hood story with Russel Crowe in the lead role. It is called "Nottingham". At least it will be better than the shitty Prince of Thieves movie.

 Yeah so you seem to be a bit of a film hound/freak.... Any word on how American Gangster is shaping up?  From all accounts 'A Good Year' was fluff.... hopefully the future will mark it down as the actor/director team being out of their field of interest rather than a harbinger of follow ups squandering the potential set up in Gladiator.

I'm kind of surprised that Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe have worked together again after Gladiator...supposedly Crowe was a huge pain in the ass on the set of Gladiator and he and Scott got into a bunch of fights over the script.

They must have worked it out. This movie seems to paint Robin Hood as a bad guy and the Sheriff as the good guy, should be interesting.

Call me crazy, but I think this sounds awesome. I loves me some Robin Hood, always have. Adding Crowe and Scott is just icing on the cake.

The extended cut or whatever that was released on dvd is awful. They added in a scene where the Sheriff's page guy gets his tongue cut off but then like later in the movie he talks or something. I couldnt believe it.
