Well I unlocked the spear dude thats in the demo, and im at the flatlands mission, I think its 5 or something, but im just getting fucking owned by the army there.

Since the army at the flatlands is '2nd tier' enemies its harder to charge the gauges, and im getting hit with a lot of cheap shots.

I've HEARD Morphix loves this game, so I summon him to help me win! SUMMON MORPHIX!

Did you find any of Assfart's upgraded weapons or any power ups?  I ended up just playing a few of the levels over to lvl up and find his weapons.  Oh and make sure you go to Fort Wyandeek, if you don't and go to that stupid snow castle you won't find a good weapon.

      Eaurvarria Mountains stage, take the first path that
      branches off to the right and follow to the end, weapon is
      located in a treasure chest.

Crystal Spear -- Attack Power+ 30%, Attack Range +50 %, Orb attack duration
      +20% -- Located in the Fort Wyandeek stage in a treasure
      chest, Located in the western dead end where the village
      is at the end of the stage.

Bryunak -- Attack Power +70%, Attack Range + 50%, Speed +30%, Red Orb
      Appearance +30 %, Complete the Castle Varrvazzar stage with
      an (A) rank.

Knight Lance --Attack Power +20, Defense +20%, Speed + 10% -- Located at
      the Eaurvarria Mountains stage, randomly dropped by an enemy.

Blue Lancer -- Attack Power +10%, Attack Range +40 %, Critical Rate + 30%,
      Speed +15% -- Found in the Fort Wyandeek stage near the
      insertion point.

Neredis Spear -- Attack Range +40%, Critical Rate +50%, Orb Gauge Charge
      Rate +30% -- Ywa-Ue-Uar


Items obtained with ranks:

Stage   

Divine Varrfarrinn -- A rank = Aegis Charm 2 -- S rank = Rage Charm.

Eaurvarria Mountains -- A rank = Giant's Bracelet 2 -- S rank= Divine Tiarra.

Fort Wyandeek -- A rank = Clover 2 -- S rank = hourglass.

Castle of Varrvazzar -- A rank = War gloves 2 -- S rank = Bryunak

Pholya Flatlands -- A rank = Life Globe 2 -- S rank = Life Crystal.

Ywa-Ue-Uar -- A rank = Fleet Boots 2 -- S rank = Rage Choker.

I fount Aspharr and Tyururu to be the hardest 2 to beat the game with.  Both can't take a hit worth shit so you have to upgrade your attack and speed so you can avoid being hit.

Nah I havent used him yet, im still using the starting chick, but she sucks. So I did get rank s at the fort but where do I equip items or how does that work.

My forces just get mutilated on the flatlands, is there an ideal flank combo to be using?

pause the game and go to the status menu.

Depending on your level you can equip up to 5 items I believe and change your weapon.

Watch out because a lot of the items are fucking useless like a charm that drops your defense by 50000pts or a pair of gloves that make the enemies attack more.

I never bothered with using troops.  I leave them behind, makes it easier to kill all the bad guys and power up your bars for super attacks.

Im not sure if HDTVs or SDTVs can go lower, 480p is default on EDTVs with Microsoft consoles. Honestly dont know how it works with newer tvs.

slow down is not that bad and doesn't happen all that much.

Playing the game in 480i isn't going to fix it either.

it doesn't happen that much, usually when you use one of the blue bar moves (like the one the goblin guy does).

oh, the girl characters super doesnt do it, thats the only person ive used. the last boss of the flatlands drives me nuts tho, half the time my swipes pass through him, or he blocks them, and the ones that do hit dont do much damage and he seems to stumble out of my combos

try to get behind him and don't bother trying to get him in a big combo.  Just keep running around him and take him from behind when you see your chance, I am sure you have lots of practice at that.
