Buffy, firefly and all his other shit is so fucking stupid. Serenity, the movie no one but geeky wheedonites wanted tanked at the box office. OMG they were zombie govt experiments all along. What a fucking terrible movie.

Whedon is a hack, but I liked Roseanne.

Serenity/Firefly didnt rock because it was good sci fi so much as it had one of the most natural and capable ensemble casts i've ever had the pleasure of watching.

I didn't watch Serenity and I really have no desire to. Firefly was a pretty good show, though. Especially for serialized Sci-Fi.

I like Firefly well enough. It wasn't incredible or anything, but it was definitely a fun show to watch and I grew attached to the cast members - even though I watched it after it was cancelled and knew there were only 13 episodes. :'(

Event Horizon was a good horror movie. I don't know why some people hate it. It's not like horror movies have high standards. Unlike most horror movies, Event Horizon was actually scary, had pretty good acting, and had good looking visuals.

Serenity was just a so-so movie to me. I've never watched Firefly so maybe that explains my lack of enjoyment in Serenity. What's funny is that my first thought about Serenity was that it seemed more like a 2 hr TV special than a theatrical release even though I didn't know about Firefly.

i enjoyed pitch black, too.

note that i expect very little from my pulp sci-fi, and am content to turn my brain off and just enjoy the silly themes and space aliens. in this capacity, i enjoyed both titles way more than any star wars movie, although i wouldn't consider either movie good by any critical standard.
