They say the used games may come without a box or instructions, how often has this occurred for any of you? I want a game and its used but I dont want some scratched up piece of crap wrapped in toilet paper for safe keeping.

I"ve gotten some games in pretty bad condition which is why I no longer buy used games online. They've sent me games in generic CD cases without instructions and the discs didn't look good either. Luckily, they played OK.

The only time I've gotten used games without a box/instructions is when I buy GBA games. I've gotten a couple used console games from them and they came with the box, but no instructions which wasn't a biggie.

EB Games is pretty damn good at selling good quality used stuff. It's not like Funcoland, who sold me Virtua Fighter 1 for the Saturn with syrup on the disk

Yeah, when I was especially po' I ordered some stuff there once. . .and only once. I believe I got 3 games, none with boxes or instructions, and at least one game looked like it had been in Woebedraggled's possession for a while.

Funcoland was horrible about used games. I guess ill bite the bullet and hope. I just dont want a trashed copy.

You should just buy new games so that TVC won't look down on you for being poor.

Ordering used games online though...I dunno. You'll have no guarentee about the quality. It has worked for me in the past, but heading to the store is better.

I'm assuming this is a game you can't find in an actual store?

I NEVER buy used shit on the internet.

Only if I get to see condition and only if it has the original box art. I don't care for the booklet as much, but I want the fucking box art.

Michelle: Nah I couldnt find it in the places I looked. Just FYI its the 4th dot hack in the first series. I actually enjoyed the series and wanted to nab em before they vanished.

I've ordered everything there just fine, except the carts and the PSX games. You'll be fine if its a recent game (PS2/Xbox/GCN/X360... etc)

I ordered newer DC games when the DC was still alive and they were still pretty bad. Maybe they just didn't have respect for DC owners.

I respect your ethics but I personally wouldn't feel that bad about something like that because 1) it's an old, not extremely popular game and 2) I would be paying a fee for it. I've never tried anything like that before though. I wonder if they'll charge you more than the retail price for the game.

They sent me xenosaga with out a case, so I phoned in and said the game didn't work and they sent me out a new one; now I have 2 xenosaga copies.

I ordered ToS GCN used and the first time one of the discs didn't work. So now I have two copies of ToS with only one working disc 1.

I order used games from Half.com all the time, and I've never had a problem.

Ordering used games from EB/GS online, however, scares the shit out of me.

There are a lot of snipers/lurkers on EB.com

Back before they merged, EB.com used to have like a "daily update" for their games, particularly the used section. CAG had a dedicated thread for updates, and they would put the hardcore rare stuff up and people would snatch it right away.
