I hardly ever use my microwave, everything just tastes so much better when it comes from an oven, even reheated food. Something Cloud and I can agree on.
This is what I came to post. whiteACID is a smart girl, and apparently so is cloud. Then I got distracted by thick loads being shot into cloud as she gasps in ecstacy. Then I remembered my point.
I try to never use my microwave anymore. I reheat everything without the microwave, without fail. Soups and noodles should be reheated in a sauce pan. Add some milk to your noodles or mac and cheese to make it like brand new again. Everything else should be oven warmed at a slow pace. Microwaving makes your food soggy and robs it of nutrients. I use it to boil water in a pinch and sometimes to make soups if I'm super lazy, but I'm even trying to cut that out.
The microwave is the devil's invention. Growing up I thought leftovers had to suck. I had leftovers last night though and it was just as good as it was on sunday when it was fresh. Of course, those with large families probably find the microwave a lifesaver, but for young people living on your own, there's really no excuse to use it. It's unhealthy and makes your food taste like shit. Oh yeah, I use it for popcorn too, but microwave popcorn is nasty as well. I'm about to change that and start cooking it on the stove with oil like I did growing up.
