The Long Winters are the most underrated band since LUNA

I mean. Why aren't these guys on the top 10? They write beautiful, accessible pop music that's not filled with weird tunings and loops and songs about dinosaurs. And they still can't cut it. Is there no room for well crafted music in today's pop economy?

I've been seeing these guys play shows around Seattle for what seems like a decade now. Glad to hear others like them.

Aside from selling one of their songs to University of Phoenix, The New Pornographers can't seem to break into the true mainstream, either.

Aside from selling one of their songs to University of Phoenix, The New Pornographers can't seem to break into the true mainstream, either.

Both bands deserve some kind of special consideration. They're writing artisinal pop music, like Schaffenburger makes artisinal chocolate. I don't know what else to say about it. It's special, well crafted, but still loveable for all the right reasons. It's just made with love and care by people and not only are passionate about their craft, but understand the kind of... science and expertise you have to bring to it.
