Its a very good game. Its not the best game ever, and its certainly not bad or mediocre. Have fun with it.

It's alright. Isn't the uber amazing game some feel it is, but overall it's a good portable game.

I've had it since it came out and haven't beaten the last world meh. Lost interest after awhile. Now I just run through some of the early maps as fast as possible, which is pretty funny.

The thing I love about the game, and Mario platformers in general, is how brilliant the game design is. You can accidentily do something - be it throw a shell at a specific moment or jump on multiple goombas - and trigger an awesome chain of events. Everything comes together brilliantly.

because I played through it and am playing another game. Is there some requirement that while I play Wild Arms 4, Grandia III, Daxter, and Meteos I talk about NSMB, the game I am not playing right now?

Does ANY game warrant a retrospect really? Aside from a short entry into a games I liked this year list, I dont have much to say about the game. Like most good games, I had fun with it, but I am not going to worship it and drag its ass along with my nostalgia to every debate about videogaming on this forum.

It's a pretty damn great game, but it isn't quite up to SMB3 and SMW's standards and is pretty forgettable, which is why lots of people were disappointed. Also, Castlevania: DoS is a superior game. N-bots don't like it when Mario isn't the absolute best platforming game on a Nintendo system I think.
