I have never liked Bela Lugosi's Dead, even though I love Bauhaus.  It's just too long and it doesn't really do anything interesting aside from being atmospheric.

It might have!  I don't listen to "gothic" music.  I put in a HIM cd at work once (when I worked around such people) and laughed so hard at the opening song I had to take it back out again.

I don't really listen to punk anymore, either.  I dunno exactly WHAT the distinctions are, but I never put on black lipstick or had an unhealthy fixation with death or ravens or celtic shit.

I went to a goth club once with my ex, and they were playing music that sounded like a slower version of anthemic trance with really slow and sinister sounding German vocals. It was much better than the music they usually play at your more typical LI dive bar, and 80's goth music is pretty cool.
