A really spunky F for Fake trailer/preview
« on: May 09, 2007, 02:03:34 AM »
F for Fake is a very strange movie.  It's probably the only movie where I can say that I have basically no interest in the subject matter, but I find the movie absolutely dazzling.  It's fun to try as follow as much as possible before you get lost in the twists and turns and lies and maybe lies.  It's also one of the most fascinating editing jobs I've ever seen.  Welles knew what the fuck he was doing when it came to cutting, and this was one of the few movies where he was given the time and budget to polish the pearl.

I'm sure most of you assclowns will watch this preview and write the movie off, though.  There are few movies as strange as this one.  It's got some bangin' hot females in it, too.

Read up on it, though I have the feeling that becoming familiar with the subject matter may turn some people away.  The subject matter, really, is largely not important to this movie.  It's all about the ride.

I wouldn't exactly say I'm writing this movie off so much as I have no idea what the hell I just watched..

It's a confusing movie, intentionally.  On the surface it is about art forgery, but between the story, the constant argument over how much a forgery is worth if the owner thinks it is worthwhile, the discussion of several other interesting hoaxes, trick editing, and the frequent truth bending and lying of the narrators, you begin to question how much the truth really matters.

But even if you don't take any particular message away from the movie, it's interesting to watch.  It moves at a breakneck pace, and there's a ton of visual imagery to keep people moving along.

Orson Welles was pretty darn awesome.  I like Touch of Evil a lot.

It's all an elaborate ruse to show boobies.
