I agree too MAF although I do so some good games coming for PS3 - and since I don't own a 360 it's not like their's anything outside Halo I won't get to play here's what I wrote on GAF:
I was reading through this thread and was prompted by such answers as "last gen still looks good" ok fine then, it does. However the Wii is considered a "Next-Gen" console, is it not? So I suppose next gen the PS3 can re-release it's system, have a gimmick, label it the PS4 and still be a head of the game because it's "good enough". No it's not good enough, people want progression, there isn't such a thing as ...*wait for it* good gameplay AND good graphics. *gasp!
People keep saying that with the price point the Wii appeals to all, so the hell what if Grandma is playing Wii, we're on a message board of hardcore gamers, we're not investors, we don't make money off of every Nintendo console sold. For the discussions that the bigger userbase will get the bigger games, that's not true either to an extent, as we've been saying the major guns of the consoles going to Xbox 360/PS3, and even then Square threw the PSP a big name exclusive.
I'm sorry but the Wii isn't "good enough" it was when I thought that I really would be "wowed" or have a new way to play games, but simply it does not offer that, and outside of that concept I'm finding it hard to accept.
(If Mario Galaxy doesn't "wow" me, it's trashed).
Agreed? Or no?
