question about sound cards
« on: May 10, 2007, 02:01:17 AM »
i've got a turtle beach rivier 5.1 surround sound card and i've also got my onboard intel audio surround sound.

would there be any difference if i isntalled the turtle beach?  because installing it seems to be a pain in the ass, i can't get it to work and i'm going to cry  :'(

I've stated many a time that I'm not a hardware guy, but I'd imagine you're going to get better quality somewhere along the line if you're using an actual sound card as opposed to the built-in stuff.
