5. This and Before Sunset/rise mark some of my fave modern romances.  Waking the Dead is highly emotional though and a mix of some other genres.

They are worth searching out.  One of the (deleted?) sex scenes has Crudup pounding her and pounding her and she's getting into it.  And then all of a sudden she asks if he came in her, and makes him stop 

Very hot and intimate sex scenes, highly recommended.

I don't want to say too much about the story, but it's about a young man in the coast guard who wants to be President one day, and is working to get into politics, and a young woman who is involved with her Catholic church and many peace and rescue efforts, and is rather liberal and outspoken. It is set in the 70s and 80s and switches between the two periods to tell the story.

I watched the rest of the deleted scenes and some of them are quite worthwhile.  The scene DJ Tet mentions actually adds an interesting bit of info.  I bet they got cut for time or for rating, since a lot of the informational deleted scenes involved sex.
