Ubisoft's latest to bring in more female gamers.

Recent industry revelations have suggested that a larger body of female gamers is essential to the future of video games, and Ubisoft, with it's newly revealed title Alive, hopes to bring in a solid part of the female demographic.

"It's more oriented toward drama, more life in characters, more depth," said Ubisoft's Chief Executive Yves Guillemot. "It's still about surviving, but you can't resolve things by shooting only."

Few details on the game exist at this point. All that is known is that Alive will take place after an earthquake and, in order to survive, the characters within the game will have to depend on their instincts and each other.

Guillemot is referring to the style of gameplay as "action plus", and though no particular platform or release date has been clarified for Alive, it's likely the game will be for next gen consoles.

might be good.

Girls eat this stuff up for some reason. At least mine does. She made me import some disaster games from japane like Disaster report. She's scared of stuff like that happening in real life but has no problem with playing the games i dont get it.

Girls play crap like Animal Crossing and Nintendo Dogs and are responsible for any success the DS might experience. Therefore, they should be excluded from the hobby until they embrace 2D shooters and strategy RPGs en masse.

redWood obviously has a testosterone imbalance. The average girly girl likes games like Donkey Konga, Animal Crossing, Sims and computerized board games. Games that simulate life in some manner. Be it shopping, decorating, dancing, socialization or other games of cooperation (some FPS fit this bill).

Not that I have room to talk, because I have been playing the same damn JRPG model for the past 20 years.

Animal Crossing is more exclusive to underdeveloped social cretins with a Fisher-Price fetish than it is a chick thing.

what kind of girls do you guys know?  All the girls I know play racing and sports games.  they like Halo too but that's because they're sane.  I mean they either try really hard or really little to be savvy but they all get games and systems and good shit.

I guess they did some research for this, or might actually have a woman involved with it. Studies show this is the sort of thing girls have wanted and I don't mean 'eww guns".  I mean thay want more than one way to tackle a situation or problem. To go around, sneak or whatever.

Seriously though, to the extent that any women I know play video games, it's usually something like Tetris or Bejeweled.

Women don't have time to play videogames. They're much too busy cooking my dinner, sweeping my floor, and blowing my penis...

That's why the DS came out with Cooking Mama, Animal Crossing, and Nintendongs.

Once you build better beds and a better shelf to store things (and get a tank to store water, etc.) you're not going to go hungry really. Eventually you can leave Skye alone and stay away more.

I always leave skye alone during the day and come back at night. I have a water thing and stuff, but it does nothing when I got up to it to deposit water.

That's odd... I have a tank and what I do is I go to that bank outside the cave, fill my plastic bottle up with water, talk to the tank and put the water in it...

Do you have a water bottle in your backpack that has water in it? When you walk up and talk to the tank it should say something like this...

0 / 301
______
X / X

The X being the water you have on you in your inventory. What you do is hit up on the pad and the 0 / 301 will change to 1 / 301. Then you confirm and you will have deposited the water.
