Thanks to distantmantra, I know that DeepDiscount is having a 20% off sale in June...thought I'd make a list of the stuff I intend to buy, and you guys could all make lists too, and then we could see what everybody plans to buy and maybe we can get inspired to pick up some stuff we normally wouldn't!

I bought bebop and gits from ddd and they were almost always used and then resealed or in bad shape so I'm not buying form there again.

I've bought a bunch of stuff from DDD and it's always been brand-new...you can assure that the DVDs arrive in good shape by paying extra for shipping instead of using the cheap free shipping they offer. That's what I do.

Do the Super Mario DVDs include the Captain Lou Albano segments with him dressed up as Mario?

Himuro - those are two of the best UC Gundam shows ever, good choices. What kind of film stuff are you interested in learning more about? I might be able to steer you towards some good movies.

I don't know what film I'm interested in learning about. I just want to get more knowledgeable in general. I haven't even seen half of that top 100 American films list from that site I forgot.

Those are my two favorite gundam series. Haven't seen Z yet.

I love gangster movies, it's the reason I'm obsessed with GTA. Martial arts movies are great too. Drama is my favorite genre. I like comedy a lot.

Um...black and white is no big deal but silents...I dunno about that.

I've been thinking about double dipping for those recently rereleased Kurosawa Criterion sets, Sanjuro, Yojimbo, and Seven Samurai specifically, so I might use this as an opportunity to do it.

Would it be worth double dipping for the Criterion version of Ran if I already have the Wellspring Masterworks edition? That version still seems pretty pristine to me other than a few subtitle flubs that I can ignore reasonably.

I have a pretty huge list of other shit I might grab if I don't follow through with the above.

As for purchases, Im not sure, except for one - this is DEFINATELY how Im gonna purchase the Leone boxset. Futureshop wants $82 CDN for it. Fuck that noise.
