Tuna Melt
Ingredients:
1 baguette or french bread sliced in half horizontally (like a hotdog)
1 can of tuna
A shitload of mayo
A shitload of butter
Your preference of seasonings, I like parsley and dill weed (about 1tsb. each - maybe less maybe more)
Lots of shredded cheese, I prefer a nice sharp chedar and mozzarella blend (in this case the cheap mozzarella you get in blocks actually works better)
Sometimes I like to also add diced celery, olives or pickles (optional)
Equipment:
Oven or Toaster Oven (not to be confused with a toaster)
Instructions:
Spread butter on soft "white" side of bread. Toast butter-side up in oven or toaster oven until golden brown. While bread is toasting thoroughly mix seasonings, optional ingredients, mayo and tuna together in a bowl. Once bread is done, first pile tuna mix onto bread, then follow with about a handful of cheese mix. Toast until cheese has melted and slightly toasty on top (on my oven/toaster oven it's about 5-7 minutes at 250-300 degrees F.)
Once done, take out of the oven and serve cheese side up.
