Ive been working on something all day today and I thought I would show you guys my progress thus far. My favorite thing about deviantart.com is some of the crazy vector work people can do, as is the case with some of you here. Me, primarily I started with photoshop about 5 years ago and have been doing raster work since. Never really got illustrator figured out so here is my attempt to emulate vector work in photoshop. My main focus today was to do my own version of all my favorite vector work, primarily some overdone cliches like bleeding clouds, winged hearts, halftone dots, and starbursts (more soon). I think these ideas are all cool and can be done in the artists style and still be as fresh as the first time.
Anyway, heres my WIP:
Definetly getting rid of the sun (its a placeholder) and the halftone dots maybe...any thought, ideas, comments?
I realize this is techinically raster work, but thats what I'm used too, and I'm just emulating vector really...
Going to bed now... be up in like 7 hours.
