Awesome site btw. Every once and a while they do these things called woot-offs, where they list an item and, when it sells out, they immediately list a new one. Fans of the site have been known to buy a shitty item and encourage others to do so also just to get to the next, unknown item in the woot-off.

And then there is the BoC, the bag of crap. You pay money and get a random assortment of odds and ends. It usually sells out almost instantly-getting into a BoC buy is a huge deal for woot enthusiasts.

Read an article about it a while ago. Social purchasing is an interesting experiment, certainly works for video games (see GAF ).

Yeah, woot is pretty much the bomb.  I bought a decent projector from them for only about $500 when I had a job that paid well, back in the day.
