Check out my post on that page and the subsequent responses. Obviously my troll wasn't anywhere as good as something Drinky could pull off, but the responses were just so funny to me on some weird level that I can't explain. Is this why you do it? Because you know people will lash out irrationally over something so ridiculous and asinine?

Like I said it wasn't on par with the greats by any stretch, but I'm bored at work and the only games I have are Vagrant Story, Pokemon and PREY so getting over worked GAFfers to flip out is entertaining.

i don't "troll" in the sense that i don't believe what i say -- i think the wii is shit, and that most of what gaf likes is indeed overproduced, overhyped crap that demonstrates a pathological need to align with specific umbrella views of the industry rather than display discriminating tastes. knowing this, i just spot a clear issue of group cognitive dissonance, choose my phrasing wisely, and let 'er rip. sometimes i do a little prep work in other threads. it's not so hard!

That's probably what makes you so good. Its never personal and thus you can be more analytical about it.

And yes I still read the GAF Gaming side, mostly for news and announcements but every now and then I can't help but peak at a clusterfuck in progress.

I try to avoid sales threads though, they're pretty redundant now.

The Gaming side is awful. Every other thread is about sales or some other stupid shit. Each thread gets like 100 posts of the exact same reply. None of the photoshops are funny. And they slow down the rest of the site.
