I picked up the The Godfather (Novel) on Monday

What a fricken awesome book :D

Michael Corleone is such a badass :heart . I'm also digging the way the actual deaths of each person are so descriptive. Its not passed over in some nonchalant way. Its so descriptive that the imagery evokes slow motion as you read how certain people within the book were taken out. So.fucken.awesome.

I've never watched the actual movies, so this is me getting ready for it. I figured since I had the good fortune of not watching the movie first...I may as well read the book. I'm already 1/3 of the way into Book II

Theres always been chances but never commited to watching them fully. I've seen some of the most notorious scenes but thats about it.

I can't wait to finish the book and watch the movie.

Isn't the book universally regarded as trash? You should've just watched the movies.

Really? I've heard that they're legendary. Not sure if the movies are put above the books or something. Either way, in my opinion (from what I've read so far) the books are awesome.

OMG No doubt :heartbeat

Don Corleone and Michael Corleone :heart . Sometimes I wish I was 100% Italian in that day and age. Organized crime ftw

The books are pulp trash, the first two movies are classics.  If you like the books, you're going to cum so hard when you watch the movies.  And then you'll send me pics of your O-face. :-[

Speaking of Pulp books. Which ones are good Ichirou? Preferably ones with Mafioso settings

You mean, like, crime fiction?  I like Dashiell Hammett a lot - he created The Continental Op character.  Very cool stuff.
