Morris Sans. Basically bank gothic with lowercase letters. Linotype claims it is based off of a Morris Fuller Benton font, but I think that's kind of a fabrication since none of the lowercase letters look like any of the fonts he had made. There are 6 fonts in the family, and I think I'm gonna be nabbing two of them. Sexay.

I am torn between Morris Sans Light and Morris Sans Light Condensed. I'd buy them both but I have an issue paying 40 bucks a pop on 2 very similar fonts.

my brother is OBSESSED with typography -- he has like two floor-too-ceiling bookshelves filled with books and journals on typography. it seems mundane, but it's an art that's also a deliberate science, and there is so much precision knowledge that goes into font design that it's ridiculous. few tasks require history, math, and artistry working in conjunction as much as typography does.

Tell your brother to hook me up! There are a lot of sick fonts I want, but I won't pay over 100 bucks for a font. I want Futura and Optima, but they go for 300-600 bucks for the families.

It's difficult to DL font collections from torrents because they never accurately list what's inside and what format the fonts are in.

that would be theft, Mike aka Big Beard -- a LOT of work and thought goes into making a font; in fact, often as much as goes into making one of those loli rape sims you antisocial goobers love so much. my brother has at least one font to his name, and of all his awards, he's the most proud of having designed a font accepted by the international typographical community. in fact, he has an interview and feature in this month's (might be last month's) Communication Arts magazine (see: Craig Erickson; http://www.sectionseven.com), so you can READ ALL ABOUT IT.
