What was the last family movie that...
« on: May 18, 2007, 07:03:03 PM »
didn't treat the kids like idiots and was so good that the adults could enjoy it also? And by that, I mean NO GODDAMN POP CULTURE JOKES.

The Incredibles? What about TMNT, is that considered a family movie or is it just aimed at boys?

are we there yet and are we done yet are good black people family movies.  i liked them.  but i couldn't see a whole white family watching them together.

also, johnson family vacation.

or are we only talking about animated?  white non-animated family movies suck and have for years.

like i said, for a non-animated family movie, it was good.  black family movies tend to not treat children like they're special education rejects.  i like that about them.

black family movies tend to be more mature.  while white kids are quoting the latest disney movie, black kids are quoting the nutty proffessor, norbit and richard pryor stand up.  different culture lolz

The Nutty Professor 2 is the only single movie in history that I ever walked out of in a theater.

Babe was a great movie and it lacked dumbass pop culture references.

babe is a fucking insult to family movies.

i saw it in the theaters (we were going with the entire class :() and there was this 5 year old kid who started crying and wanted to walk away because he hated babe or some other animal.

only watch it and enjoy it if you have no soul.

Babe is like really old too.
Just shows you how Pixar (and 3D animation) has dominated family entertainment over the past few years. Wallace and Grommit:Curse of the Wererabbit wasn't too bad.

It's one of my favorite children's movies.  It's awesome.  That little kid was obviously mentally disabled.

It wasn't that good, but Bridge to Terribitihia was pretty damn heavy for a kids movie

Anyone seen Pig in the City? The Babe sequel is in a completely different world from pastoral storybook pleasures and triumph of the first. Defintely not for young kids, it's pretty unsettling and dark.
