Every high priced meal I have ever had has been kind of disappointing.  I'm sure if I knew the intricacies of describing tastes in food I would appreciate the food more, but for a normal eater, I don't think it's really worth it to drop like a hundred dollars on a meal.  Unless you are trying to impress someone.

I used to be like this but I did an overnight marinade for a $5 single piece of steak (just for myself). Cooked it just enough so it was pink inside and OMFG it was so good.

Its not really about the flavor but the soft chewy texture of the steak being barely cooked through.

But I agree that $58 is way too expensive and I don't know how people can eat anything more extreme than slightly rare steak (where in the most extreme case its almost dark and bloody)  ...well..except for PDs girlfriend..her being a Black Vampire and all
