3D talking heads in RPGs rawk

It's so hilarious and silly. Seriously, this adds a lot to a game's charm. It didn't rock in Half-Life 1 and 2 and only served to spread confusion, not to mention that there were very few voice actors that voiced many samples of the different egghead models... but now they officially do rule.

Redundant talking heads of the same 2-3 male and female character models delivering the same naive, pretextual speeches exist in RPGs like KOTOR and Enchanted Arms. It's just so ridiculous and silly, it actually helps to get less confused by the gigantic 3D game worlds to see so many familiar and inexpressive faces that look like they're constipated.

I'll be seriously disappointed if Final Fantasy XIII and others don't have their loot of them.

not at all, the second post was made only two hours after the original one while the offbeat title was still prominently visible among the others, and a second one was only made to clearly separate the two concerns and tag the last once as being ancillary

while this topic matter is way out there, I'm shocked at the lack of appreciation for talking heads, they unvolountarily bring back a lot of charm into RPGs

it's impossible to be convinced by the prestation of a character sharing the same poorly modeled male or female model as tons of others who all have different roles and voice actors to impersonate them, but fortunately, this kind of cornyness brings a lot of familiarity and humor to games, giving them this adorable minimalistic 2D RPG vibe
