Is it just me or has the DS lineup gotten worse as the system has gotten more popular?

Yes, pretty much.

Metroid Prime 3 marks the THIRD Wii title finally worth owning -- YMMV, of course.

Maybe. But it stands out among notable titles such as

July 30 Mario Strikers Charged Nintendo
September Battalion Wars 2 Nintendo
Aug. 14 High School Musical: Sing It! Disney Interactive Studios
Aug. 14 Madden NFL '08 EA
August Tiger Woods PGA Tour '08 EA
August Space Station Tycoon Namco Bandai
August Brunswick Pro Bowling Crave
August Dave Mirra BMX Challenge Crave
August Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection Crave
September Brothers in Arms Ubisoft
September Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal Warner Bros.
September George of the Jungle Crave
Fall Boogie EA

And any others I forgot to mention

I should also mention that Metroid Prime 3 marks the FIRST original wii title worth owning (insert joke about how you can't tell the difference). Zelda and Paper Mario were Gamecube games, and will remain that way forever.

I didn't like the fact that the DS controls were incomplete and broken, so I'm a bit concerned they ported that over too.

Is it just me or has the DS lineup gotten worse as the system has gotten more popular?  Picross is the only remotely interesting thing on that list.

Yeah, Picross, and Luminous Arc for me. Will DQ9 make it over here this year? I doubt it. That's of course my most wanted DS game. But at least I have a few backlogged GBA games to get caught up on, and I'm sure Etrian Odyssey will take me a while because I play RPGs at a slow pace.

zelda I understand, but paper mario was never released on gamecube. Most early titles for systems started on previous consoles. Like Kameo on xbox and not 360.

I guess what we mean is that they aren't DESIGNED for the wii, meaning most of it's controller features are things you can do with the regular controller. Yeah, fishing with the wii mote rocks and so does targeting, but it doesn't add THAT much. Either that, or the controls were so good at times that I didn't notice a difference.  Although, moves like Shield Bash seemed hard to pull off with the wiimote.

I would not have been able to play through Zelda without the camera control. I tried playing a demo of the Wii version at Gamestop when it just came out and I started getting motion sickness. :(

You don't seem to understand cheeps. It was announced on Gamecube. There were screens. Videos. Scans. Playable format at expos. Then... poof.

It's like the Battle Network games, but in (crappy) 3D. There's 3 versions of it because Capcom never fails at milking the MM franchise as much as they possibly can.

I haven't played Zelda yet.

Super Paper Mario was awful.

Not interested in MP3 or Smash Bros.

Galaxy...will be...ugh I should just sell my Wii.

I just ordered a replacement sensor bar from Nintendo.com so I can sell it. I'm tempted to get out while the Wii is still supply-limited and I can turn a phatty profit. Then get back in 18-24 months when something worth playing comes out.

Based on the 5 minutes I played at E3, Galaxy is pretty incredible... but I'm hoping that Nintendo doesn't somehow fuck up the actual game. I had some pretty positive impressions of Sonic and the Secret Rings, but then they added too much crap in it and made the camera more spastic, that the full game wasn't nearly as exciting. Brawl = OMG

I hope it comes out in Japan before that...I can't wait four months for another fix of Phoenix Wright!!!!

What's Luminous Arc?  Nothing else on the list even interests me.  What a shitty list of DS releases.
