“Lesbians have more than twice the odds of (being) overweight,” the authors wrote.

This would put them at a higher risk for diabetes and heart disease, among other ailments.

My intuition tells me that this is the opposite situation with men. I think gay men are less likely to be overweight than straight men. I say this because men care more about looks than women. Gay men and straight women have to please men, while gay women and straight men have to please women. So gay men and straight women have to, comparatively, put more effort into maintaining their appearances.
