People bitch about the 360 but god damnit even if it does die out more often on the whole, at least it works ok while its fuckin ALIVE.

Im fuckin SICK of the sixaxis losing fucking sync with the ps3 in the middle of games. Tired of the constant recharging of the bullshit sixaxis. The bluray and dvd playback is shit, the online features are PSONLINE quality which is bullshit when the competition is XBox Live, im randomly losing connection to my network and tonight the ps3 reset itself for NO REASON.

Wtf god damnit jesus christ if I hear one more 'oh yeah sony console last longer' im gonna snap.

Sony's consoles have always been shit so this doesn't surprise me at all. The only two companies who ever cared enough to make quality game machines have historically been Nintendo and Sega, and now Sega's gone from the console race.

Stupid controller sync issue cost me a couple runs in MLB last night. Sometimes the controller can't even resync on its own so you get the PLZ RCONNECT CONTRLER LOL. Its apparently a fairly common problem.

uh, i went through FIVE dreamcasts. FIVE! that machine broke faster and more frequently than the 360

my launch dreamcast and launch PS2 still work fine, my 360 which I got uh last march hasn't had a problem either. I've never had a console break on me.

The closest is my NES which my dad got in 1986, the spring doesnt work so I have to shove a second cart in there to hold down the game but otherwise it is fine. It's not like I ever touch the thing anymore anyway.

Luck of the draw, I guess. I saw an equal share of EVERY console come back defective when I worked at a game store, so saying one is more prone to fuck up than another is bullshit. I know a lot of the fuck-ups were also the people themselves anyway. Too many people treat their systems like crap.

The only Sony system I had break on me was my first PSP. It dropped off a countertop and then screen was completely messed up. That's it. I owned launch model Playstation 1 systems (even a 1994 Japan launch model) and PS2 systems for both countries, and never had a problem. Same with all my Sega systems, including Dreamcast. Neo-Geo CD and CDZ, on the other hand...that's a different story.

i'm definitely not very fond of the PSN architecture nor the bluetooth synching/recharging shit. not happy with the size either. not happy with the fact it doesn't upscale movies to 720p. if it weren't for my early adopter mentality i wouldn't have even owned one. considering the price, i expected more. damn, i guess there are a lot of things i don't like about the PS3.

it's not THAT bad though, it kinda grows on you after a while.

I know Sony products are failure-prone, but I've never had a problem. Hell, all my consoles still work perfectly, regardless of how old they are or who made them.

My launch PS2 is still working just fine, plays CD and DVD games like a charm. I even flip-top modded the fucker and it's still chugging along without a hitch.

I've never had a single problem with my PS3. The Sixaxis controller batteries last forever, I've never had Bluetooth synch problems, the Blu Ray playback is fantastic (can't speak for DVD playback, as I use my upconverting DVD player for them), and while the online features do pale in comparison to XBL, it's free, so I can't really complain.

I've had bad luck with my ps2's but my psx still works to this day, and I got it 10 years ago. My psp was perfect too, with the exception of bettery life.

iirc bluray playback doesnt downscale from 1080p which means it just scrunches the picture down to 720p. Wow thats fantastic. DVD playback wont even upscale. :p

I run Blu Rays in 1080i, looks great on my set. I've got one of them crazy CRT HDTVs that's able to display both 1080i and 720p without a problem.

It does suck that it won't upscale DVDs, but I just use my upconverting DVD player for them.

Also 720p looks better than 1080i imo. Something that raises the cost of the PS3 to 600 bucks SHOULD convert down to 720 come on.

I don't think I had ever hated any console I owned... until the PS3. I fucking hated it. Sometimes I'd be watching a movie and my eye would catch a glance of it in my entertainment center and I'd think "$599.... for what? Resistance. Balls."
