I hope this is more like Prime which was fuck awesome and less like Echoes which was really dull and stupid.

I thought Prime was the best 2d to 3d transition of a Nintendo series and the only one to capture the atmosphere and feel of its 2d equivalents. Echoes was some garbage game with the Metroid name slapped on it.

These new screens don't make me hopeful.

Yeah that screenshot needs to be explained, but nobody has an explanation or nobody is willing to break embargo. Metroid has always been about isolation in an alien world.

Maybe they are using the sega approach to sequels. Can't think of anything new? Add a bunch of pointless extra characters with stupid, unique powers that require their use for 5 seconds!!!
