Yeah, I would like to know more about the set too... I have all three separate. The set CANNOT be complete without the Army of Darkness Boomstick Edition, which I was lucky enough to find.

FoC, if you like Army of Darkness, then you will like Evil Dead 2... they are VERY similar.

The Spider-man - Evil Dead comparison is horrible IMO. All three of the Spider-man films are meant to be serious, unlike the Evil Dead films, where the original was the only serious film out of all of them.

The ED Book of the Dead version sucks; it's cropped down from it's original full frame to 1.85:1, losing some key picture information.

ED2 BotD DVD has a lousy transfer that looks worse than the older THX/LE tin version.

The theatrical cut of AOD from Anchor Bay has always been the same transfer, and it's alright, but nothing great.  Hardcore fans of AOD need to get a region-free player and the R3 (Korean) DVD.  It's basically the Director's Cut restored from 100% film elements, not from videotape that Bruce had lying around his house, like the US version.

i bought it in a bogo free deal at ddd still havent opened it. and yes the book of the dead versions suck. Thank god i have multiregion

Yeah, it's cropped and the composition of some shots suffer.  If you want to see it the way it was originally intended, get the Elite DVD.
