Getting the Infinity Engine, the game's big 2D art assets,  and its pathfinding to work on the meager PSX hardware is quite a feat, even if the game was never going to work on the machine and would have no userbase even if it did work properly.

Did Bioware do this in-house or was it a port out of Interplay/BIS?

FYI, I have never seen the PC version of this game. Can someone comment if this intro is exclusive to the PlayStation or does it appear in the PC version as well (and if so, are there any differences)?

Heh, I never knew that. BG was so awesome on PC. Playing on PSX would just be weird though.
