I love my new laptop

seriously.  it's the first laptop i've used on a regular basis that isn't slow as balls, doesn't lose wifi connection constantly, and the estimated time left is ACCURATE.  It doesn't say "1 hour 11 minutes left" and then 5 minutes later, it's shutting down because you don't have enough battery power.  That's how my last 3 laptops were.  I fucking hated it.  This thing is incredible.  WIDESCREEN TOO.

i have an hp dv6000-series as my personal laptop, and it rocks -- the brightview screen and decent video chipset (Geforce 7400 Go) mean that it's a good media center, and with the TUMOR BATTERY i get a good five hours of heavy-duty use out of it. plus it looks swank.

it's a company laptop viz

my proletarian: I don't know what model I have.  Is there a way to check inside of Windows?  My company slaps their asset tags all over the place and it's covering the model number.  But yeah, it's incredible.  I've been using it more than my main pc and I've been streaming Lost and the sopranos to it.  it's been decoding HD movies fucking perfectly.  holy shit i love it.

Edit: And I get about 300 minutes of use out of it with the regular battery, and that's with the brightness levels at normal settings, no gimped cpu power etc.  full on baby.  awesome battery time.
