I've known the dictionary.com Word of the Day for 20 days running now!

the last one I didn't know was Bon Vivant. Doesn't even sound english, bastards.

I lived in Texas for seven years, because I don't live somewhere currently does not mean I haven't lived there previously. I won that damn spelling bee too!

I don't have an exact source, but its something I've seen stated before. Thomas Jefferson supposedly had craptastic spelling but he was pretty smart. I've found some tenuous sources in a cursory google search but nothing really strong.

I was in the spelling bee twice in my life. In second grade I won the class won, but lost in the round for all second graders on music of all words.

In third grade I lost in the final round on desert. The girl who beat me gave me a mnemonic of sorts for remembering.

Despite these rather humbling experiences I still managed to make it into a good university and even majored in Rocket Fucking Science for awhile until I decided I hated Fortran.

My GPA was pretty shitty in High school, (2.4 or something). But my SAT scores were straight up ballin'. Highest score in the entire school by quite a margin, I might add. Course, I was always a good test taker. A shame I really hate doing homework. $:-\$

And it doesn't bother me at all. Not like I put any effort into it beforehand anyway. I actually wish I didn't do so well on it. My life spiraled downward pretty quickly afterward.
