Long story short:  Dude sets up a digital camera on his cat and lets it go outside.  He uses a microcontroller to snap pics to see what the cat is doing.

This guy has an awesome cat.  I know if I were to do this to my parent's cat, I would only get hours of footage of what the grass looks like matted around a cat while it's sleeping.

Good pictures, though I'm a little suspicious of just how interesting it turned out to be.  2 snakes in one day?    We're sure this isn't a viral marketing campaign for the VistaQuest Digital Keychain?

I guess my mind is in the gutter, but it'd be hilarious if there was a POV shot of this guy's cat screwing some other cat

It was only one snake. The other was a hose. And it was set to take pics like every 3 min so he probably only picked the ones that were remotely interesting out of hundreds of shots of the grass and shit.
