I just beat .hack//G.U. vol. 2//Reminisce

It's pretty good, better than the first. It took me around 27-29 hours to complete and my characters were around the lvl97-90 range.I got all of the weapon dillies and ignored most of the optional stuff.

This had some neat plot twist and someone from //ROOTS which pleasantly surprised me but I strangely preferred the story in vol.1.

I leveled up too much....the final boss was easy.

I never played Crimson VS.

This has some nice CG.

yeah, part 2 is loads better than part 1. there's no point in discussing whether the plot was better since LOL ANIMU -- it's not there to win awards. the ties into ROOTS were nice, though.

i finished with everyone at 100, all lost weapons and 5-star kit. the third awakening was stupidly overpowered, and once i got over the flashy effects, i dropped back to using the beast awakening. haseo's flick reaper skills are JAWESOME, and combat got a LOT more interesting with the new cancels and move+charge as well as the socket upgrades that allowed for fast charge and reduced rengeki requirements. only downer was that one of the better party members (and the only dual blade), alkaid, isn't available for half of the game. antares is cool, but i could really live without sakubo and endrance

. overall, i really grooved on the upgraded battle system and spent a LOT of time minmaxing the fuck out of haseo -- i pretty much solo'd the second incarnation of the one sin with him.

I felt the same way about the way .Hack//Infection-Quarantine tied into SIGN. I mean sure the plot is pure stupid animu, but the cast IS charming and its neat to see some ties between SIGN and the first series because of that.

Tho I dont understand the hate towards the ROOTS anime. I've watched the first DVD to completion and its leagues better than the bulk of SIGN already.

Im pretty pumped to try out the battle system in the GU series, but after 55 hours of the first series I can safely say that the battle system there is pretty demanding of the player too.
