They don't have it but I also suggest reading the Flanders Panel because it has Perez-Reverte's best character to date.
I think some author's word choice and sentence structure is uniquely suited to being heard, but the thing is the choice of reader is as important as the actual text escpecially if the novel is dialogue heavy. I heard one that my in-laws listened to that made every speaker, regardless of gender or age, sound like a homosexual Irish teenager.
