Alrighty I'm shelving Odin Sphere for the time being(Fine game it is but not right now)and since the next game I want comes out in mid July(P3).I will play through games I have already completed and one I have not.

The games I will be playing are:

The Bouncer:

The shortest of the bunch and pretty damn easy but I will be playing through with either Volt or Sion.I will only purchase 3 attacks.

I can't think of any good challenges for this....
Update:I just did New Game+ instead.

I regrettably do own the original PSX version but this will do.I will attempt to either:

A:Never be found.

D:Speed run.

Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eater.

Snakes are good.Either will:

A:Never be found.

B:Don't kill anyone.

C:Shoot all the frogs.

Resident Evil 0:

I should've beaten this weeks ago but it didn't happen so nows the time.

DoC:Final Fantasy 7:

I don't know....I just wanna play it again probably on a harder setting.
Update:Finished Extra Hard mode.

This is one the lengthier action games out there.I will only to get Ending A.

Shin Megami Tensei:Nocturne

I've had this the day after it came out but I still haven't beaten it.

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus:
Short and awesome.Will collect coins.

The Otogi games are some of the best action games in the past couple of years. They are difficult in the best sense of the word and have good replay value in the form of alternate goals in the levels. They didn't get much exposure being obscure Japanese titles on a system not known for that but they are worth picking up if you have an XBox.

I have the first Otogi but I never beat it so I might invest so time in that as well.

it's a lot easier on the thumbs w/ the original XBOX1 big bertha controller. damnit, i may just have to play it on the X1 for that reason alone. thanks for reminding me.

The main problem with this thread is that most of those games are not what I would call 'quality'.

The Bouncer is one the biggest turds ever to drop on the PS2.

Lets talk about how bullshit it is how PS2 killed Sega and the Dreamcast when there NO GOOD GAMES on PS2 for like THREE FUCKING YEARS and the DC already had SKIES OF ARCADIA and IKARUGA

Good choice with Oz. I bought a copy in Japan last summer, I really need to spend more time with it.

Hell, I have a huge backlog of PS2 titles I bought over there that I've barely touched. Cowboy Bebop and One Year War were the only ones I've beat.

Why is the word quality on the thread title when this thread features The Bouncer, Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes, and Dirge of Cerberus?

It will be impossible to beat all of these games before P3. Nocturne takes 80 or so hours alone.

no human being considers DoC of the bouncer good. They are some of the worst games of the last generation and DoC is probably one of the worst reviewed "hyped" PS2 games period.

Japan/Europe-only action title with some vague connection to the Wizard of Oz mythos. It came out around the same time as the first Genji, but for some reason SCEA wouldn't ok it for North American release.

I'm on summer vacation too and I'm actually playing games slower than I was before vacation.

Hell, I got Nocturne during summer 2 years ago, and didn't nearly manage to beat it within a month.

I work for a school district, and I'll be off on summer vacation starting June 27th until the third week in August.

Other than the usual healthy social summer activities, my goal for the summer is to play all the games I bought in Japan last summer!

Right now I am playing Odin Sphere and Super Robot Taisen Original Generation 2. After I finish those, I am going back to Wild Arms Alter Code F and Tales of the Abyss. After those, I'll probably start Final Fantasy V Advance and whatever game the Homojapuality thread decides on.

I just beat the jail in Half Life 2 (I'll play this game for like 2 hours, then stop for a week, I'm very off and on with it) and about to finish Gwendolyn's chapter in Odin Sphere (the game is moving along a bit faster than people led on, even though inventory management is a bitch and I'm probably not exploiting the systems nearly as much as I should be... which makes the boss fights a pain in the arse), and I recently defeated the gay boss in Gurumin, I think I'm somewhere near halfway done with Gurumin... taking my time with all 3 games, right now a lot of my time is taken up by practicing mixing, since I'm gonna be playing out at a friend's party this weekend. After I beat those games, I'll probably go back and finish Red Star, play some more God Hand, and start playing Crush.

The jail wasn't that bad (aside from those machine guns on tripods that rapidly fired at you)... my least favorite part of the game so far was definitely in the go-kart. Such a bitch to control (I guess I'm just used to Halo style vehicle controls), the level went on forever (drive along a road, shoot the sandworms, investigate some houses on the side of the road and get ammo, repeat ad nauseum). Getting the bugbait and having the antlions do your bidding was definitely satisfying, though, after dealing with such an annoying level!
