Fuck Dark Shake, The Departed sucks

I got this movie in from netflix today and I'm watching it now. About an hour in.

As some of you know, I have a total HARD ON for crime movies and tv series. It is the very reason I am obsessed with GTA: fucking crime stories are the BEST, and crime movies are by far and wide my favorite movie genre. I love Goodfellas, that's a good Scorsese movie, but Departed, so far, is highly lacking. The editing is horrible. It makes the film disjointed and absolutely confusing.

I like the story, and I WANT to like this movie but goddamn is the editing, and a few other things, making a somewhat good movie into a chore.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard that BET (who are now running the horrible censored episodes) are chopping a lot of the dockworkers storyline out of season 2 (so that the episode can fit into an hour with commercials) because it's not really catering to their audience. Again, I don't know if that's true but if it is, that's fucking awful. They shouldn't be running censored versions of that show anyways; the infamous "fuck" scene between McNulty and Bunk from season 1 was fucking MASSACRED.

Yeah, A&E. And Sex in the City is on... TBS I think? But they shot alternate scenes for syndication so it's not as bad as The Wire, the Sopranos or Six Feet Under. It is kinda hard to clean up the scene where Samantha's girlfriend squirts in her face, I suppose.

That's cool. I just thought it became kinda maudlin. A far cry from Charlotte and her "Mr. Pussy" days.

Actually I thought that show went in the shitter when she got married. (And I think Six Feet Under went in the shitter when Lisa disappeared, since we're on the topic of HBO shows) The Wire and Deadwood have never been bad.

Sex and the City isn't bad.  Honestly, it started going downhill after she got dumped by Aiden (i don't remember how to spell his name).  But yeah, that episode was so sad.  It made me hate Carrie so fucking much.

Right by one of the schools I work at, there is this guy in an empty gravel (Native American reservation, it's full fireworks stands this time of year) lot who sells really tacky rugs out of the back of his truck. He always has this HUGE Scarface one out on display. Always makes me chuckle.

Found the story on this photo:

It was like 2-3 years ago, and the guy in the picture was eating and eating and eating, and drinking and drinking and drinking.

He was just sitting there, then BLAM, spewed all over. AND THEN after he threw up, he sat there again for like 10 minutes in that pose, doing nothing but chilling with his vomit.

It was utahsaints couch and we all felt really bad but I don't believe anyone offered to clean it up.

He also threw up AGAIN, I believe on a chair? In this picture, I'm actually behind the camera man.

At the end of the night, we gave him a plastic chair to sit in to calm down in the back yard. He broke the plastic chair and fell down like face first, and we left him there, checking up on him periodically to make sure he was alive.
