"I get asked the question so often, I thought it best to make an announcement. I thought long and hard about it and if anything could have pulled me out of retirement it would have been an Indiana Jones film. I love working with Steven and George, and it goes without saying that it is an honor to have Harrison as my son. But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun. I, do however, have one bit of advice for Junior: Demand that the critters be digital, the cliffs be low, and for goodness sake keep that whip by your side at all times in case you need to escape from the stunt coordinator! This is a remarkable cast, and I can only say, 'Break a leg, everyone.' I'll see you on May 22, 2008 at the theater!"

Trainwreck imminent. I didn't want him in the movie anyway, but the fact that he's once again turning down millions while giving hints about the quality of the movie doesn't strike me as a good omen

that was a joke lol. Spielberg wants to keep the cgi at a minium and this is having a very quick post production turn around, there cant be any/much green screen to get it up in time if there was cgi aliens lol.

I'll get a boner when the music comes in soft, then slowly builds to a crescendo as the main theme explodes in its brilliance. And I'll be there on day one no matter what, as will my family most likely. But that doesn't change the fact that this will be a bad movie. More over the top nonsense.

Indy's old age gives them the perfect opportunity to strip things down to a Raiders level instead of say Temple. But they won't.

Indy movies were always "safe" family friendly adventure films..unlike rambo.

The idea of harrison ripping off heads as indy does sound awesome though.

I'm glad he's not coming back. As I've said before, I don't like the practice of bringing back old characters for nothing. Whether it's Marion or Sr. Both characters only serve to make the franchise seem even older.

Also remember Lucas before the film even was out of the writing stage said Connery's role would be very small. A glorified cameo. He would not have been on the adventure with shia and the aliens. lol
