If I were David Boreanaz, I'd be buying a garbage bag filled with fried chicken and gravy.

My contribution to capitalism occured yesterday, when I dropped $80 on a Motorola modem (to hook Comcast internet in my room) and a USB flash drive.

I bought Lego Star Wars 2 for the PSP and I'm getting a new speaker set for my forthcoming iMac.

The iMac which I liken to David Boreanaz, the greatest actor of our generation and certainly a greater contributor to the health of pop culture than the very AMD-esque William Shatner.

See what I did there, TVC? You see? Eh?

Actually, I named the iMac Burger, in honor of the shape of David Boreanaz.

Mog: Which one? Old World Underground or Live it Out?

I could never decide which Metric album I liked the best. Live It Out is really lively, but Old World Underground sounds more unique.

Neither have Parkdale, which is the best Metric song ever, but there's two versions of it. One sucks horrible, the other is awesome. I tried finding it and for a while I could only find the horrible version. Took me some tries before I found the good one.

Hmmm, some comics, maybe the Seven Samurai set if I feel the need to beat my wallet like it owes me money.

Wait..... that doesn't make sense.  :ninja

Live it Out is good, but I dont think there's a song on there that compares with Dead Disco or Combat Baby. Patriarch on a Vespa is pretty good tho.

If I didn't pay off my CTS in cash the payment would have only been $320 a month.

Cars are a waste of money.  I only got a new one because my old Accord EX V6 was getting too costly to keep running, and I only had the car because I need one for work.  If you can get by without a car you're better off just not having one.

Insurance, gas, depreciation, maintenance, time spent washing and detailing, etc....it's like being in a bad marriage.

Yeah I cant really get by without one sadly. My 2000 Focus Sedan already has 105,000 on it. I'm going through the usual 100k upgrades and replacements right now. Not cheap, but cheaper overall than getting something new with the way interest rates are. :*(

Yeah I got up to 278,000 km on my Accord.  The alternator failed for the second time in 6 months and I had a timing belt that needed changing soon and the old gal reached the point where I could get a new car and pay less.

Still a sweet ride though, that V6 had lots of juice and the car was loaded up, leather, heated seats, auto climate, power everything...very quick for a big car too.  I still own her (didn't do a trade in) and I'm toying with the idea of getting her running again and maybe throwing in a supercharger and just having a fun weekend car.

320 a month isn't too bad at all.  Especially for a CTS.  Is that a lease rate?

No, just a straight up loan, putting $5k down.  I didn't even consider it because I had no intention of taking a loan out to buy the car.

FAT: Good god thats a lot of miles. you deserve a new car!

They're kms, not miles...its about 175,000 miles.  I drive a lot though, I used to love it but the traffic gets worse and worse every year.  In a few years it would be faster for me to start riding a horse to work I think...

The thing I gotta figure out now is what to do with my old car.

It's a 2000 Accord EX V6 loaded, green on tan leather.

It has:  cruise, AM/FM/CD with steering wheel controls, power windows/locks, automatic, 200 hp V6, power glass moonroof, heated, power leather seats, and A/C with automatic climate control.

It needs an alternator but otherwise runs good, and it's got a lot of balls, for a big car it can do 0-60 in a little under 7.5 seconds and highway passing it's really fast, and smooth and comfortable as a highway cruiser.

It's just me at home so I don't really need a second car, so I want to sell it.  But I don't want to put the money into an alternator for a car I won't drive so I want to sell it as is.  Just in parts alone it's worth over 5000 (the seats alone are a G note, let alone the doors, the A/C, the trunk and body panels, etc.)

Anyone here want to buy it?  8)
