Actually,what made me want to quit was Michelle's post where he pointed out that I was wasting time arguing online with a teenager, and yet I was living in Japan and could be doing so many other things (for example: geishas). This is probably going to be my last year here so I started thinking that I should seize the day, tempus fugit, etc.

...that lasted a whole two weeks.

I didn't even know I'd been banned from Mupepe's forum.

Okay, man, I posted in your thread. You were asking about noirs so I listed the very best ones, of the ones I've seen. The Italian movies are a little bit artsy fartsy, so I don't know if they'll be to your taste. The Conformist is my favorite of the Italian ones I listed, at the moment.

I was in Kyoto during Gion Matsuri... I saw one the entire time I was there: an older Geisha with her Maiko in the Gion district.

Geishas aren't maids, per se. They're entertainers and conversationalists. The whole prostitute thing is mostly a myth, I think, though I do think geishas' virginities used to be sold.
